Progression with bots?

Thank you for the bots!

I played this game a couple of years ago (on Stadia so sadly all that progress is lost) but stopped completely after a couple of painful incidents of bullying. I am over 60 years of age, not in the best health, and my reactions are not good. Other players latched onto that mercilessly. The bots mean it is now possible to thoroughly enjoy the game without any worry about toxic behaviour, and I am having a lot of fun now.

It would be nice if bloodpoints could be awarded from games with bots to allow progression. There would then never be any need to play online again, and I could just have fun.

Unfortunatly it's probably not going to happen, since obviously the devs don't want poeple to just farm blood points against bots and hurt matchmaking, but i fully understand your point, even if there is no progression as of now, just know that for the next update, you'll be able to add perks to survivors bots, and probably later this year, you will be able to play against multiple killer bots (Not only trapper i mean)

You can turn off the endgame chat to not deal with salty people.

Unfortunately it's not just the engame chat... it's the player base.... 90% of players (killer as well as survivor side) is either: Associal (very toxic, abusive, sneaky and mean, full round AFK, etc.) and/or Cheating and/or totally incompetent.

The incompetents are in every Multiplayer game (not only in DbD). And is also absolutely ok (beginners etc.).
But the devs just aren't doing enough to address the problem of toxic/associal players and cheaters.
And as a result, maybe its not only 15% "exhausting players", it become 90% .... and that's just too much!

if something like this were to happen, about half the playerbase would just play with bots instead.
You're right, not every match is nice and dandy, but i hope you can see how much getting rewards in bot games would hurt the game overall..even though it can help a handful of people

you dont need bloodpoints in custom games,you can use there any addon/perk for free

he dont wanna play normal games anyway,its just a waste of time to level up someone

but it dose feel nice to have progression and if he ever wanted to try online again he would have access to more things

At this stage of the game I dont see the harm in it. Veteran players dont need Bloodpoints, I already have every perk on every killer/survivor, the only reason I still play is for the chases and rifts.

Letting people farm BP in bot games does nothing to effect me or anyone who has years of gameplay.
