Is it possible? Sure, but difficult to see.
1. Rescuing other hooked survivor
2. Not hooking the deliverance survivor until endgame, with the prerequisite being
i. Surviving chases with killer
ii. Finishing gens to activate gates
iii. Hope that you have good teammates that allows you to actually survive that long
iv. Or hope that the killer isn't able to apply enough pressure
3. The killer is made to hook near the exit gate.
4. The gate is fully charged to open at the flip of a switch
If they somehow managed to satisfy all of the above criteria, I think it is fair that they escaped
-The survivor has deliverance, using a perk slot
-The survivor has activated deliverance
-The survivor has not used deliverance all the way until the gates are powered
-The survivor has not been hooked once this game
-You, as a killer, hooked a survivor next to an exit gate that is powered (a mistake)
-You then left far enough for them to have time to self unhook, open the exit gate and leave
This is not an OP perk, this is you failing as a killer to win the game. Which is fine, some games happen like that. But they managed to do 5 gens and you never hooked that guy once.
BT on top of DS? Damn, son. Don't even need to hook them near the gate at all, hook them almost anywhere on a map that is small enough, and it basically guarantees them an out, More so with bodyblocks on large maps.
Deliverance is just a single second chance, BT? Doesn't mean ♥♥♥♥, since it overlap with Deliverance so it is still a single second chance. Isn't as overpowered as DS at all.
Take accountability for your actions that led to them being able to escape with Deliverance for goodness sake. I was sugarcoating it from my previous post, but honestly, the fact that they escaped with deliverance is most due to the Killers fault, compared to the DS one where if it functioned like before.
Mind you the DS from before, like 3 seconds stun. Can be saved for later. First hook? second hook? You can decide when to use DS, just not for the final hook. And the best part about DS? You can stack it with second chances. BT ontop of DS, Deliverance ontop of DS, or better yet. Unbreakable ontop of DS. So, it isn't the killers fault or the survivors fault that they escaped, the Perk itself is the problem and nerfed like so
Deliverance? Can you stack it with any other second chances? Could you give me an example? I am waiting.
But how OFTEN does this happen ?
I rarely see deliverance in my matches at all. And if I do, it is used 99% of all time in the middle of the match, not for the endgame if the gates are powered.
I see the scenario you described from time to time in tournament matches, but again ... how often do you encounter tournament teams ?
Nerfing a single perk , just because some survivors MIGHT use it rarely for endgame scenarios is a bit over the top, I think.
when you down someone as they are about to exit you cant hook anywhere else but at the gate,
this is so simple. i hope you guys are trolling cause otherwise the level of naive is through the roof.
Don't hook survivors near exit gates if you don't want them running out.
