What is your personal definition of having "won" a game of DBD?

I am curious about what the community diversity has to say about this topic. It seems to be the thing that seperates a lot of players from eachother.

Also would you like for the development team to introduce an alternative gamemode at some point. Something with a different "win condition" and objective if possible? i would like that for a change of pace. Given that most people seem to loathe the "gen rushing/ gens are boring to do" thing i think that it would be nice to have such an option avaiiable.

I think it's a good thing that there isn't a clear win/loss in most matches, but this is my personal take as a killer; I generally consider 2 kills 2 escapes as a tie, unless against a particularly annoying SWF team. I consider at least 3 kills a victory, if only because of the unpredictability of the hatch and keys.

Legit just if I had fun or not. Since traditional wins don't feel good anymore since the game is at the worst it's been, if I had fun that's a win and it's really rare xD.

In my competitive mind any person getting through an Exit Gate is a loss, anyone getting through a hatch dosnt count in my opinion because its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanic. Especially with a key.

In the achievs you see things like "won with that character"... So if you are a survivor, escaping is win, if you is a killer, kill everybody is win.

But i dont think theres real problem in lose, im almost give the hatch to the last surv.

Well this is a hard one but I'd say if I had to name a winner it'd be the player who got most score I guess...not that I think it's a definitive win condition but pretty much the only way to gage whether player did good or not

Fun = Win no matter the outcome

Having fun = Winning. No matter what the outcome of the match was. Especially as I play billy, this aspect is easily covered if I get one or two insane flicks.

100% this I have plenty of games where I die but feel good about the match cause we played well. I consider it a loss when I have 3 other teammates who like benny hill a bit too much.

When I've chased and injured/hooked survivors enough to get them a beefy amount of points, and spooked them with NOED at the end just to let them escape, that's when I have won. Any noob can facecamp and tunnel for a kill, but the mindgame victory is much more fun.

Though I admit it doesn't help yer rank.

I've always looked at it like this: If just 2 survivors get out, then its a Draw. If just 1 gets out, Killer wins match. And obviously if 3+ survivors get out then survivors win

I'm coming around to the 'there is no winning DbD, only losing' mindset. As long as the entity isn't discheesed I did my job and didn't lose, and if I had fun so much the better. The only thing that is 100% a win for me is if I get survivor salt in post-game chat; that means I pissed off at least one toxic entitled survivor main, and that is the sweetest honey.
