In the beta, when using shadowborn, it would make your fov so much better than now and it gives u better brightness, go and watch some tru3's videos when he was playing wraith with that perk

The only legal way to change fov is to use killer perks Shadowborn and Monitor&Abuse. There is no other legit way to change it.

Stretched resolution, mate.

FOV is the same, what you're trying to talk about is the HUD placement. If you go higher in resolution the HUD screws up.

You realize that his res is squished, right?!

It's probably an ultra-wide resolution, which youtube doesn't support I believe.

No I didnt. So you just change that in settings?

Play the game in 4:3. It results in a higher FOV as the game increases it to make sure you can see the same as a 16:9 player. While this is to ensure no-one is at a disadvantage, it actually just feels better gameplay-wise overall. Lots of high rank players run the game like this.

Make sure the 4:3 resolution you choose has the same amount of vertical pixels as your normal resolution, or it'll look blurry.

If you're running in 2560x1440 (16:9), make sure your 4:3 res is 1920x1440.
If you're running in 1920x1080 (16:9), make sure your 4:3 res is 1440x1080.

You can change this in your windows settings.

Once you're in 4:3, you can stretch it to fill your entire monitor if you wish. I don't do this, as it looks horrible and blurry and provides no actual advantage over just having the black bars.

Feel free to add me if you need help.

As killer, a 4:3 resolution allows you to see the same amount of area as a regular 16:9 resolution without having to move your eyes too far to the left or right. Everything in the game is directly in the middle of your field of vision. This will help you notice things far easier.

As survivor, the extra field of view makes you feel as if you're moving a little faster (no real advantage other than feeling cool) and allows you to see a lot more of the back of your survivor/the area around them in comparison to a regular 16:9 res.
