Purple key doesn't open the hatch?

2 games in a row there's no "open" option. Is purple key bugged or something?

hmm no idea i was playing killer and someone opend the hatch with the purple key maybe it needs a good amount of charges to open it ?

Full charged key... played with a friend- he died because he couldn't open the hatch. So I picked it up and couldn't open the hatch too. Second time the same ♥♥♥♥.
We got those keys from the chests so maybe it's because of that..

I've never once gotten a key to work on yamoaka estate. Anywhere else is fine, just not that map.

Likely just a once in a lifetime bug. I once put in a black ward and somehow still lost both of my rare add-ons.

The first time it was Yamaoka, the second time- Coldwind farm.. This game is full of surprises i must say.

Twice in a lifetime then lol.. don't know, kinda scary to use them now.

Charges have no effect on opening the hatch or how long it stays open.

I saw in a YouTube video recently, where the survivor couldn't open the hatch unless he was on a certain side, then the prompt showed up.
