Cheating/Exploit Abuse (Killers)

Is anyone going to acknowledge that a large sum of Killers are using Exploits and Cheats to guarantee an overwhelming victory?

Reporting players seemingly does nothing, the only time action, or even a review against players is when you go to their website and submit a ticket on a specific player- but there are so many people taking advantage of the very poorly implemented anti-cheat protocols.

I could list the enormous amount of advantages a Killer has had (specific stat increases, inability to interact with certain objects, etc.) but there are just so many, and its pretty much a constant and consistent issue. It's worse than the Early Access days where streamers hella hyped the game up and were using the exploits themselves, and a handful of them were even being promoted by creators of Dead by Daylight.

I was really trying to get into this game again to get hyped/prepped for the Stranger Things DLC but it just isn't feasible. Either give Survivor's a fighting chance or fixing the Exploit Issues would work for me, but It's in absolute favor of the Killers. You can backtrack almost any forum regarding cheating in Dead by Daylight and a vast majority of the people that beckon for buffing the Killers even further and swear up-and-down that Survivor's are always needing to be nerfed, harassing other players for being bad have been perma-banned for exploit abuse.

You know the game has a severe balance issue when the Killer is literally just toying with you 3/5 matches and completely oppressing all 4 survivors effortlessly.

Unless they are nurse or spirit...kinda. It is there game to lose more than it is the killers game to win lol

Reporting them is useless, used to do it and nothing happens!
Most of them are russian hackers with already bans on profile so yeah 200% they hack more..

Honestly the only thing unfair are the laggin killers and survivors that can literally run over rocks (you can't reach them here unless you have a ranged killer like huntress or plague with corrupt purge). P. S: bugs, not cheats

Can you list some actual exploits?
I mean exploits, not some game design or mechanics, that don't make sense, as there are a lot of them already.

Meanwhile, nobody has mentioned, that Pallet looping is an allowed exploit.
In that scenario, the Survivors do abuse their smaller hitbox, running in boring circles, and when you finally get close, a Pallet smahes you.
The Survivor then continues to loop that area, until the Killer destroys the Pallet, and the time to break it is just enough to gain a distance, that'll prevent the Survivor from getting injured.
Then, the same repeats, until the Survivor does a positioning or timing mistake, and the Killer gets a Hook.
Against average players, that takes between 2 - 3 or 4 Generators per that Hook, dependable on the Killer's Perks, Add-ons, and on the Survivors' Perks and Items.


Just in case you get a lost in thought, like I've just done, I'd like to ask you to list us the exploits.

Here, in Czech Republic, Russia is know to have a lot more hackers than any other country, but I haven't encountered a single one in this game. At least, not yet, but a hell of them in MW2.

You can actually find videos of cheating on youtube. Most of them are chinese but I've seen targets around survivors, as well as 999 hatchets or traps. I saw a survivor levitate over the gate to escape, teleportation to gens and downed survivors, flying over the map, switching between toolboxes, flashlights, and medkits and leaving them for survivors while restocking them.

Personally I think I've only seen hacks twice. Once tonight with a billy who downed me in 30 seconds from start but he could not have seen me as we had a wall between us that whole time. He then downed another close by in about the same time then went to a locker he should not have known the 3rd was in. BBQ and other perks/items couldn't account for that.

The 2nd was a while back when I was bubba. I could not pick anyone up at all. I could go through windows and break pallets, but not pick up whoever I downed. I figured it was a glitch but I've seen it now on some youtube cheat play. It was all 4 players though which is why I figured glitch. I still killed 2 from bleed out.

Oh and some of those videos are pretty recent. Not sure if they ever get caught.

So I want to throw my two sense in here after a bit over two thousand hours and completing both sides for achievements the only “exploits” (as in legitiment hacks) I’ve seen on killer side are: actual wall hacking, speed boosting (any killer), teleporting survivors to your position at the press of a button, lag switching, causing end game perks to trigger (making it so NOED is active at start of match) the multi-perk/swapping killer abilities exploit catastrophe of first Christmas, and flying through the air. So while what you said could all be things that could be exploits this game is notorious for being laggy and buggy. And the exploiters that I have seen were super far and in between. With how many survivors that didn’t understand mechanics or were just victims of crappy connection to the killer, there is just too many acts of crying wolf for every killer to be cheating.

A large majority? No... A lot of loss is purely survivor stupidity. Not saying none cheat or exploit stuff.. I'm sure I've encountered some using actual wall hacks, and some that actually lagswitch, but... They're a small minority.

Yes reports do something, we do actively ban people that are cheating - we also get a lot of false reports as well.
