Opportunist KILLERS and the UNFAIRNESS IN DBD

I just won a match in DBD. Here is what went down in the match:

Two players DCed early (assuming they were friends).
We had no gens done.
Killer had HEX RUIN (a cheater's perk).
Two survivors versus FREDDIE

I didn't do anything ALL GAME except get totems and chests for points, including saving survivor from hook. I didn't bother doing gens. Why? Because KILLER was gonna be an opportunist and kill us both and rank up while we derank, which isn't FAIR.

Like I said, I didn't do gens for the simple fact that I KNEW I was gonna die and derank. So, I waited until the other survivor died. And with the perk (I can see hatch 32 meters away), I got hatch.

Post game: Killer INSULTS ME cus I WON! For starters, he KNEW it was an unfair match. Why didn't he let us farm and we all rank up together? But instead, he WANTED ME dead. It's not a crime to hold out in a DBD match in order to get hatch. That killer is the very definition of what it means to be an opportunist.

Was it his FAULT why two survivors DCed? No, it wasn't. But the fair and decent thing to do is NOT derank survivors while KILLER gets the most points. I don't think so. That's not how things WORK.

I won so. I'm happy!

Ruin can be cleansed so quickly it means almost nothing in most games. Like ♥♥♥♥ lol

No trolling, very legit. I've always hated hex ruin. It ruins the game for everybody. They nerfed DS, so why not place a time limit on hex ruin? In my view, it's only fair. We can agree to disagree.

"ruins the game for everyone" bad pun, and also generators still go by way too fast. come back when objective times get fixed, until then i will keep my ruin glowing (at least until the first minute of the match ends when the survivors inevitably find it like every other time)

No player likes people that DC, especially the survivors.
Such players ruin the game for everyone.

Hex ruin is a perk you might not like, but it is not a cheat.
You are dillusional if you think so.

How strange for a killer to try and well... kill you.
Maybe its in the name killer.

Do not judge all killers, by the manners of this particular killer.
i for once am never salty towards the survivors and slightly salty only when they start beeing mean.
I try to be a nice person in the endgame chat, as we are all people playing this game and shouldm treat each other that way in the chat.

Your nager towards deranking as well as the poor match should be directed towards the 2 other survivors that DC.
The killer can not be blaimed for this in any way.

So, ot was OK for killer to insult me cus I waited it out and got hatch using my perk to find it? Nah, you're wrong. If I wouldnt have gotten hatch, I couldnt rank up and he would've ranked up. It's not a crime to hold out and wait while the last survivor dies. The killer wouldve killed me if I began on gens. I don't regret my choice and I'd do it again if players DC and only me and another survivor remain. I don't have to suffer cus other were angry and rage quit. Not in my town lol.

Not really, I'm rank 7 now. I've always been a rank 1 to rank 5 survivor. I got about 800 hours in DBD! :p

You have a good scenario, and a valid point. However, calling a commonly used and easily counterable perk a "cheat" is where you are going to lose a lot of people that would otherwise take your side.

This isn't about "sides". This is about the fact that killers know when players DC, high chances are he will find the rest of the survivors and kill them and rank up while the other survivors either derank or don't rank up. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. You have your opinion, I have mine. I don't like hex ruin. It needs to get nerfed like the way DC was.

you really dont rank up even when one survivor dcs at any point. I have had many killer games where i should of pipped and it was taken from me because someone dced and removed 1/4 of the chances i would of had to fill up 3 of the 4 categories.
