Where did you grow up fishing in RL?
Connecticut River bordering the states of Vermont & New Hampshire and nearby lakes/ponds.

Bass, Walleye, Perch, Pickerel, Pike, catfish (called hornpout by "Northerners"), suckerfish and pan fish of all types. You could get trout anywhere there was a clear stream, usually up in the hills.

In a small town called Ruislip which is about 10miles from London in the UK. I starting fishing in a lake where we would catch Roach, Perch, Tentch, Bream, Pike and our old friend the minnow.
Occasionally we would go and fish at a spot on the river thames where you would always catch Eells and I hated touching them lol. I have a lot of great memories from them days and it all wasn't about catching fish as a young boy it was diifferent adventure every day.

North Carolina.
Lakes, rivers, ponds, surf, and a little off-shore for Mackeral.
Night fishing with a lantern for Crappie was my favorite.

Southeastern Pennsylvania. Trout in the small streams, smallmouth and largemouth in the rivers and lakes, and the occasional trip to the Jersey shore for weakfish, mackerel or stripers.

There's a lake about 3 miles from my house which I've been told has walleye, but I haven't seen one yet and all I've caught out of it so far are small yellow perch.
