Fish Experience & Money Question & Other @Developers.
Are the fish you catch rewards relevant to size and length of fish or are they level based?

The reason I am asking this is because a friend and I used the same equipment and caught fish very close in size. The difference being was I am level 40 and he is 34, he received a lot more money and experience for these fish. (thinking it was roughly about 30-40% more.)

Bringing me to my next question; should fish experience be adjusted somehow, where after level 40 you can fish on any map with good experience & money. At that point it would be fishing for the game species you want to catch and instead of trying to max your experience and money each catch on the higher level maps, which I think a lot of people just do.

Also - can specific species of fish be caught all day long at lower rates, or do some species of fish only bite at specific hours of the day? (In general like Cat Fish, Lake Sturgeon) I believe FP should move away from the specific times and just reduce the bite rates thru the day, and get rid of fast forward time all together. Fishing is fishing and sometimes you catch and other times you don't.

If I could fast forward time each day - I would fast forward through work each day and collect my big phat paycheque at the end of the week. This is kind of the same in FP - you skip through all the times where you don't catch all that much and collect the reward between certain hours of the day.

From what I've been able to tell, all fish bite (aside from a select few like Muskie pre-patch) at all times of the day but the rates are significantly reduced. Size of said fish may differ greatly though. Like Unis are still locked in tiny time ranges, trophies are a slightly larger range and commons are even larger ranges.

1. Diff in XP is because you use heavier or lighter tackle (medium from rod, reel, line). So XP not calculated more complex. You see the red or green triangles near XP after each catch - red - you are using heavy tackle and XP is lower (three red - significantly lower), green - you are using light tackle and XP is bigger
2. Your current LEVEL not included in fish XP calculations
3. Now fish roam across the lakes, so you can catch any fish at anywhere and at any time, but probability is different.
4. Bites are not always as on graph because graph is just for overall representation, each fish has they own charts.

Hello Killerwhale - I appreciate your reply;

We will do more testing in regards to this, perhaps get some screen shots of what we are seeing. However I can confirm the tackle was the same.
