im fined
hy guys, i need some help.. im fined when i catch some fish... i know if i keep that fish ill be fined. but this time i release the fish, and i get fined too.. can someone explain how to get unfined. im arleady catch 3 tropy catfish in missouri and i release them but i get fined.

buy an advanced licence =no fines

buy a basic licence= some fish you have to keep &some you have to release and it will tell you in the popup in red wether to keep or release.
my advice is to only buy advanced.
NEVER FISH WITHOUT A LICENCE

ALWAYS KEEP TRACK OF THE TIME YOUR LICENCE EXPIRES!!!!!

Look at your licenses. Some basic licenses require you to keep certain fish. Your best bet is purchase an advanced license or avoid the baits/lures and locations favored by fish you can't keep.

Well, I just encountered the fine in New Your just now.
I bought the advanced license there yesterday but it just expired, so the next chain pickerel I had to release.
But "Hello", why was the system "verifying" my catch? I released it!
Yes of course, it is a bug that has been introduced in the latest patch.

So now you NEED an advanced license to fish anywhere until this bug is fixed.

Theres a difference in "catch" and "keep". If your'e on a basic license you can "catch" what you want in new york, but you'll have to release the trophies. But now you said your "advanced had expired", that means you're not allowed to even catch a single fish, even if you release them all. You're basically fishing with no license at all. Thats no bug.

advanced licences do not require any baitcoins now unlimited licences do perhaps your a little confused between the two :D

I have unlimited basic license in several locations....
This also happened in Florida for me last week, got fined after my advanced license ran out and I only had my basic left. I still got fined after releasing the fish.
So I do think there is a bug lurking around.

The reason Im asking is because there are a few fish speices in Florida that you have to keep when fishing on only basic license (catfish, bullhead and some more I think). So that might have been the reason you got fined in Florida when releasing a fish and only having the basic license.

I know about those, yes.
I caught a trophy fish, bass, either a LMB or a PCB just after my adv. license had expired and had to release it. I still got fined that one time.

On an earlier trip to Florida, I did not buy an adv. license and I released the fish I should and kept those I had to and never got fined because of it.

So it might have been a temp. glitch that one time. I don't know.
