Can you explain in detail what you mean by this?
I'm playing HL2EP2 now, and just finished HL2EP1 earlier today with the 360 pad. Also important: Is this a Microsoft-branded wired 360 pad? I've had trouble with off-brand pads on other games.
OP, you shouldn't need any config file. If it's an MS branded wired 360 pad, it should work without any extra files or drivers.
I got a laptop and playing those games on my 40" LED HDTV would be pretty nice....Does that make sense for you...?
P.S it's a branded Xbox 360 controller. Not even the one for windows. It says xbox 360 only. But my laptop recognises it as Xbox 360 controller for windows. So, yeah its a branded one :)
Try opening it and typing exec_360controller
Havin the same issue.
Its really disappointing.
