Best settings for steamdeck?

Not sure what I'm doing but what gfx API would be best and what settings? The game is so slow on steam deck, frame rate dips into single digits and sometimes hits zero.

Try using Vulkan, it was defaulted to OpenGL on high settings when I first launched it on the Steam Deck and it was in single digit fps as well. As soon as I switched to Vulkan it immediately shot up to a stable 60 fps.

Do I have to change settings other than that, I put it on vulkan and saw single frames

Is the Steam texture Cache a thing on Steam Deck?
If so, clear it & disable it. It causes known issues on PC.
('Steam>Settings>Shader Pre-Caching' on PC)
