Doom 2016: A Cheater's Utopia

The multiplayer of Doom 2016 has been utterly ruined by literally one or two cheaters. Steam and Bethesda, seemingly indifferent to the plight of honest players, have failed to take any meaningful action to combat this issue. To date, not a single reported player has faced any consequences for their actions, creating a toxic environment that rewards dishonesty and punishes fair play. Even a simple measure like hiring an intern to review reported cases could have a significant impact. The intern would only need to play the game for a month to easily identify the most egregious cheaters, as their behavior is often blatantly obvious. The continued neglect of this issue by Steam and Bethesda is a disservice to the dedicated community of Doom 2016 players.

A Shameful Disregard for Players

The actions, or rather, inactions, of Steam and Bethesda in response to the cheating crisis in Doom 2016 are nothing short of shameful. Their utter disregard for the well-being of their player base is a stain on their reputations. It is a clear demonstration of their priorities, which seem to lie elsewhere than providing a fair and enjoyable gaming experience. If these companies truly cared about their customers, they would take immediate and decisive action to address this pressing issue.

Sent you a friend request. We often go private when the idiots are in the lobbies. You won't get achievements but at least you can play a with legit players.

I don't care at all since I don't play Doom in Multiplayer, prefering Quake games over it. But I can understand if it's annoying for those who do.

What happen with Steam/Valve? this is the way to loose customers, simply doing nothing after a customer's impeachment. We have strongly denuntiated cheaters recently, and Steam/Valve does absolutely nothing; plus, Valve have shut some channels where players used to denuntiate cheaters, and offensive behaviors. Why Should i purchase another multiplayer game, if Steam/Valve doesn't care? Why should i join to a Free to play game with micro transactions like skins, weapons, looks etc., while Steam cannot and doesn't want to take care about his loyal customers?

How can we trust you not to cheat? The only way I'd invite you to play in a private lobby is if you agreed to stop destroying the public lobbies. If you can do that, I would consider inviting you to some of the private lobbies.

I also wrote my own article on this forum, in Spanish, but in nowdays, almost all people around the world can speak one or more foreign languages and, if not, google translate exists. I stated that, there are so many cheaters which aparently are virtuous players, and even they're defended as legit players by legit players, that's a shameful problem, but yet tolerable at some point; the big problem, and even a bigger shame for Valve/Steam, not only Bethesda, are those cheaters which recently entered with the only intention of annoy, driving mad the rest of players, and knock down the matches, making them escape from the cheaters. Of course, every legit player is tired about the existence of those cheaters which are using the skin or the costume of a virtuous player; but recently, came to the game players who are unquestionably cheaters; players which if can locate a match full of players, uses the bruteforrce hack, kicking a connected player in order to enter a match; but the things even can go worse; their simple presence in a match, causes instability and slowness on the Steam chat, due the nature of their attacks, the antivirus which many of us use, and the firewall of our ISP's around the globe; and finaly, the rest of the hacks their use, flying hack, unlimited ammo, superquick, aimbot, and instakill. That kind of cheaters recently became a plague, they even are using phishing attacks; we´ve reported them, and Steam/Valve/Bethesda, etc. are doing nothing respect.

LOL, What if he ends up being a good player, anyway, he cant stop destroying lobbies, thats the sort of guy he is. Although it is funny how he now seems to be getting a bit lonely.

@Ash. I too wonder about a lot of players, and i have a few friends that i trust to give me their opinion as to who is cheating. Unless all of the top players are cheating, and covering for each other we need to except that some of top players that we dont like are just that; Top players.
But yes, there seems to be a lot of noobs cheating atm.
About the fifth time ive written this now, " I would pay full price again for the same MP (mabye a few new maps, and no mines) with a reliable anticheat'.
