Hello everyone I just bought the game and downloaded it today, when I launch it I have this message below appearing on the "Doom console". Can anyone tell me how I can fix this crash?

Do you use mods or dinput8.dll ?
Did you try to switch to Vulkan API?

I don't use any mod, for doom. And what are Vulkan API and dinput8.dll? Where do I find it?

dinput8.dll is in main game directory, but only, if you installed anything apart from game itself.
Try to change to Vulkan API in Users/Username/Saved Games/Id Software/Doom/base/DOOMConfig.local - change RenderAPI to 1.

well that's weird but in the file "Saved Games" there isn't anything lol
And same i go on Local Disk (C:), i have Users but no "Username" and the closest thing from it is "Administrator" and then I have Saved Games, but yeah then the file is empty

Update : Nope i get it i found it

OK I am almost there it is just that in "base" there is not DOOMConfig.log, just three files named "generated", "savegame", "savegame.user" and then four different stuff named all "ErrorLog" with the date of today behind and a last thing named steam_autocloud.vdf

1st tab should have launch options. Add +set r_renderAPI 1 there.

The firsttab for me is "General" and I cannot change anything (the other tabs are Web Document, Security, Details and Former Versions) (i am not english so i translated them i hope it is understandable and ok)

It's in General under cloud saves. There is space where you can type.

What is the number of the line ? The 1st? The 3rd? (I have 8 possible lines)
"Cloud saves" is under what line ? because I don't think i have "Cloud Saves"
