It ruins the nostalgia to be stuck with forced keybinds for standard FPS.
I use the arrow keys as well. Like seriously, the game has very simple controls but they frak it up by having two keys bound to some controls...and you can't un-bind them.
Yeah, I know it's beta but that just seems beyond dumb. How could you not see it's flawed beforehand?
I'm not playing because of it.
The real problem I have, is with the mouse. I want to use Mouse 2 for jumping, but it refuses to let me remap the thing, even after cancelling it from where it's at by default.
not really understand what you mean exactly... coz now i am in the game and nothing happeni when i select a taunt hit enter and after hit any key... nothing...
I use arrows and need to change mouse buttons doesnt work
I mean this...
As an example, in the default bindings, Up and F1 are bound to Taunt 1. With Taunt 1 highlighted, hit Enter and then press Up. It'll tell you that the key is already bound yada yada. Hit Accept, and then you'll see that Up is no longer bound to Taunt 1. Repeat this process with Taunts 2-4 and their respective arrow keys, and then you'll have freed up the arrow keys. Now you'll be able to use the arrow keys for movement.
All of the keyboard keys can be bound and unbound like this. It makes no sense, but it works. Sadly, this process doesn't work for the mouse.
He means, go to the desired bind in the options that already has any arrow key bound, select it, press enter, then press the corresponding arrow key bound there; this makes the game remove said key from that particular action, freeing the arrow key to be used for movement.
It worked for me, but still can't bind mouse2 for jumping, which for me is crucial, and the game doesn't seem to have any editable .cfg that I can find, I tried looking into the same place the alfa was, but there's no cfg, also tried looking at similar paths games like wolfenstein TNO use, but no luck, no cfg that I can find, and with the ingame console not available in the beta...can't bind anything manually.
