Bethesda and ID startup logos very choppy and slow

Anyone else having this problem when they start the game? Once I'm in the menus everything seems fine but the 2 intro logos take forever to get through and are extremely choppy.

Weird, it did it the first 2 times i fired up the game. Now it's fine... nothing has changed

I've had that issue with both id Tech 5 and 6 games (this Doom being the only id Tech 6 so far of course). Seems like some sort of initial startup loading thing. After the first time smooth as butter.

Nope, it ran fine and smooth for me the first time. Maybe it could deal with your specs or the fact that the servers arent up yet so it may be acting weird

I had the same thing, first time I ran it, took 30 secs just to get past them! Ran it again and they ran just fine.

The other workaround is to try disabling v-sync after first getting to the settings menu - it shouldn't happen again.

Doesn't work. When I tried this, all it did was make me sit through a black screen that lasts TWICE as long as the intros do.

Update your driver to the lastest. Happened to me...

I had this exact thing happen! I have yet to try to boot it up a second time. Will let you know. I'm also on decent specs: i7, NVIDIA GTX 960 2 GB, 16 GB RAM, etc.
