Snap to Grid not working

When I try to hit [x] to "snap to grid' for an item, the item does not move or do anything. I cannot complete the tutorial for this and I cannot use the command when I am creating a map. I could use any and all help in trying to fix this issue. Thank you in advance.

Additionally, does anyone know where the controls file is for the snapmap portion of the game? It could be that the key was unbound somehow.

Just reset controls to default in menu.

If you press F1 you can configure some snapmap functions such as "Snap Z axis" and "Grid size", not sure if this is any help, but it's something

I had the same issue and I just started playing Doom again recently for another playthrough and I figured out how to fix it. You have to turn the Snap to grid option on in the editor settings. Grant it you will have to do this in a normal editor due to the tutorial only giving you limited commands. Here is a guide I made just recently for the fix!
