Even then it's really a hit and miss... most of those glory kill challenges are like that.
This is the first Glory Kill challenge that has been an actual CHALLENGE for me. :P All of the other ones have been quite easy.
The rune "Dazed and Confused" helps a lot with these achievements because gives you longer to line up your glory kill.
That one was easy once I figured out what leg to shoot. Also: The Heavy Assault Rifle is so good in helping you get glory kills. ^_^
This also works for weapon mastery. For example, to get the precision gauss gun mastery, you have to headshot 5 Hell knights. There's a part in the last mission where a Hell knight is on a bridge off in the distance, but won't attack you (or even move around) until you drop down into the area, so I just shot him in the face from a safe distance, and then reloaded from the checkpoint and did that 4 more times.
Another example is the rocket launcher's lock-on mod, which requires 5 summoner kills. Find a fight that has a summoner (e.g., the Argent Facility, or just before you get into the based of the Argent Tower), kill it, reload from the checkpoint, and repeat.
Yeah, I noticed that. But I decided to enjoy the game my first run rather than farming out upgrades. Besides most of the mission challenges are pretty easy to do without much effort anyway.
Though I do find it a bit silly that the more you die, the more likely you are to complete the mission and mastery challenges.
The Heavy Assault Rifle is better in my experience.
Targeting the head only works if they happen to stagger upright (or something). It's much harder to time/target.
I always stunned the enemy first (a singe melee from the front will do)
Im not sure if a stun before the actual attempt is needed or not
