Final boss bug

I played throught Doom again on Ultra Violence this time and tryed to do a 100% playthrough. I collected everything that was to collect and did all the challenges while making all my runes and weapons level to max and i finaly got to the final boss but cant finish it off. I have tryed to beat it many times over and over but when it starts to flash, i cant finish it off. i have restarted steam, reloaded checkpoints but nothing has worked. The prompt doesnt apear and i cant finish the game. I did not have this problem last time i beat the game on Hurt me plenty, does someone else have a fix or had this problem aswell?

Make sure to have 1 bfg round left when going for the glory kill.

I did have BFG ammo left but it still did not work.

I'm having the exact same problem. Boss is laying there, waiting for the glory kill, and the game won't let me do it. There's no prompt telling me to press E, and simply pressing it (from any angle) does nothing.

The glory kill button is F by default, not E.

I just finished the game on Ultra Violence and didn't have an issue beating the final boss. Sorry I don't have an answer for you but just wanted to confirm that it did work on that difficulty.

same problem here, the boss is beatin down has no life left, but i cant make the glory kill

Edit: Yeah, figured it out... it's the F button for glory kill (duh) not the E button.

Huh, I had no problems finishing off the sorrow spider queen. She didn't steal any of my eyeballs either, oh no. Just BFG to the face.

it works even if you don't have BFG ammo left, tested it myself

The glory kill used the Gauss rifle when I did it, not the bfg...

Soo what if there is no gauss ammo either, is there an animation for all cases? xD

Would be something if you could get the glory kill with a pistol.

Yeah i tryed it out and it did work. I had changed the keybindings and it worked once i set it to default :P

For me the boss isn't flashing and I can't finish it off. Nothing happens, no matter which button I mash or which weapon I select. I'm trapped in that cave, with a boss lying on the ground and I'm doomed for the rest of marines life there : D

As it seems, after watching a youtube vid, my boss isn't even in the "finish him" state.In my case it is lying and moving around, always with the face in my direction and of course with an empty health bar.
