No Doom desktop Icon

Ok so i've been having this problem and it's pretty self explanitory,I don't have a offical Doom Icon all I have is a globe. Also when I go into the properties of the game file it says Unkown for the source :/ dosen't really add up, I have tried to unistall and reinstall it and still I have the same issue. Hopefully someone can help

Right click on the Doom name on the game list in your steam client and select "Create Desktop Shortcut".

Ok then what do I do? I do have the taskbar (windows 10) icon for doom but only on the main dashboard I don't got one.

Yeah I did that and it only gave me another Globe icon so it said Doom (2)

ok next thing you can do is right click the globe icon and select properties, then on the lower middle section there is a button named "change icon". I guess you can find one in the doom installation folder. if not, perhaps google one, save it and follow the instructions above to select it. Google Doom 2016 filetype:ico and you will get some hits.

In Steam/steamapps/common /DOOM is there a DOOM x64 exe file.? If so click on it to start the game.

well it does still launch my game but it just don't have a Icon for it only a globe :/

weird? maybe drag the icon to desktop.

I know, i am tempted to do that and just launch the game off that but idk if that would work :/

Okay, Ill help you out, I had the same problem, so what you have to do is go to your desktop and pres RMB and select create a shortcut, then you need to find and select the DOOMx64 application and hit next, now you will THE DOOM icon on your desktop :)
