DOOM

How do I start a new game, overwriting a save slot?
I've used all 3 save slots but on one of the incomplete ones i want to start an UN run, but I don't see an option to delete the previous save or start a new game in the existing save slot...

you can delete your savegame in the menu where you select your savegame. mouseover the one to delete and press R

Delete the save file in C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base\savegame

Did not work. Are you running on zDoom?
Don't delete your save file via windows, make sure you back it up 1st.

I have beat I'm to young to die, hurt me plenty, and ultra violence. BUT I don't want to delate all of progress, all of my wepons, all my accomplishments, all of my achievements in I'm to young to die, hurt me plenty, and ultra violence So I have this question HOW do I select nightmare and ultra nightmare WITH OUT deleteing game slot 1 game slot 2 and game slot 3?

its impossible... but also unnecessary to keep it bcs u cant drag anything to another slot. ull keep the steam achivements ofc. i recommend u to delete the lowest difficulty slot and start a campagin in the next difficulty. i prefer nightmare bcs its the most fun ;)

edit ah u can copy ur savegames to backup it if u want to. goto %userprofile%\saved games\id software\doom\base\
there ull find a folder named with savegame.user. copy this folder to keep ur savegames (all 3 slots) but remember if u ever copy this folder back into the base folder of doom, backup the existing one or all new progress is lost ;)

Mostly what Ransom said. Keep your Ultra-Violence run (if you want it), but you can delete it as well, if you have beaten it on UV there is a fair chance you can beat it on Nightmare, but do keep a Nightmare campaign saved for practice if you ever start Ultra-Nightmare.
With a completed UV run, there is really no point in keeping a save on I'm Too Young To Die, or HMP.

When I pay Doom Eternal shows 3 slots but the save directory only has "DOOMEternalConfig.cfg" and "DOOMEternalConfig.local" which are configuration data.

Save Game Slots are in "\Steam\userdata\72017960\782330\remote"
