DOOM
No sound on bluetooth headphones.
In DOOM I don't have sound when using bluetooth headphones but when I connect them with a regular cable it works.

I don't have such issue in other games or programs, just this one.

I didn't find any configuration for the audio output device in Options.

Suggestions?

Might not be much help for others, but my issues were easily fixed by going to Control Panel > Audio and set my bluetooth headphones as default device. Now they work all the time (so far) and I have better audio as well for some reason.

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem with a wireless afterglow headset? I tried using the steps CL Aaronlonin said, but when I hit step 4 I have no services tab, only general and hardware.

Sorry, I don't really know if there's somethine specific for your headset. If it's a bluetooth headset is should also have a "bluetooth" tab as well as the general and hardware ones ... Anyways, hope somebody else can bring a solution for your case.
Cheers Aaronlonin - worked for me too, although sometimes sound goes a bit dodgy still, but at least it's working!

I had the same issue and found that windows 10 has a default configuration enabled in bluetooth headsets that causes audio quality drop down, and in the case of Doom not sound at all is played.

To fix it:

1. Cick on window's start menu (or just hit windows button) and start typing "devices" (no quotes).
2. Then click on "Devices and printers".
3. Right click on your bluetooth device (Example: LG HBS770) then select "properties".
4.. A properties dialog is displayed, go to "Services" tab.
5. Disable "Handsfree Telephony"
6. hit "Apply", then "OK".
7. Wait few seconds until new configuration takes place.
8. If your headset is not connected, connect it.

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AUDIO AFTER RE-CONNECTING:
make sure it is your default Playback device:
9. Right click on the volume icon (usually at the bottom right of your tasks bar) and select "Playback devices"
10. Right click on the name of your headset and select "Set as Default Device", then hit "Apply" and "OK".

And that's it. At least it worked on my PC (Windows 10) and my headset (LG HBS-770)

That worked for me. Thanks!

sorry to necro but recently encountered this problem and im trying to figure it out. while disabling handsfree telemetry, as it was advised in this very thread, fixes the problem, as a consequence, microphone now is completely disabled and can no longer be used neither on desktop, nor in games.
also, for some reason, when handsfree telemetry (bluetooth mic) is disabled, my headphones act weird and pc requires constant bluetooth on/off to fix it.

This is for people who will eventually and without doubt stumble upon this from google.

okey folks, longs story short.

So, here's the deal. If you want to use mic, you have to use mono channel. Stereo cant work with audio and mic at the same time.

If you have bluetooth headphones with in-built mics, you can either use audio "hands free device", which outputs all incoming-outgoing audio at 8 hz (mono quality), or you can have stereo without mics which outputs to 44100 hz. You cannot have both.

I repeat, YOU CANNOT HAVE BOTH IN 2018.

Essentially, disabling mic, disabling hands-free telemetry, enabling mixer in communication devices - just disables mic, and by disabling mic audio works in stereo mode.

You know what. People like you amaze me. Here I am 2 years later searching for this problem, and you have the fix! How the heck you even found it is beyond me, but thank you, thank you, thank you.
