Hold still challenge?

The one in level 13 that you have to oneshot 2 Baron of Hell. I tried with a charged gauss headshot but wasnt enough. Tried also with the BFG or a Berserk rune but it didnt count.
Any tips?

I did it with a BFG and it counted for me.

bfg, just try it again. Sometimes they die to other damage. BFG is not instant.

Tried that 3 times with direct impact just after he spawned and it still didnt count.

I weakened each with the normal Gauss shot, then finished them both off with a charge.

I did it on the first try using the Quad Damage rune + Gauss Cannon

and by "he" you mean "they" right? It doesn't mean "one shot baron two times". It means "kill two barons with single trigger push" meaning killing blows (double kill in UT terms). You can weaken them with other guns but they need to die both to that BFG shot.

I've done this 3 times with the BFG and twice with the gauss cannon, both with and without quad damage. I've even killed all 3 barons at once on two of the BFG kills. The challenge won't complete :/

Seems to be hit and miss with this one but I really cba grinding through this level time and time again to hopefully get it to actually track properly :s

I got the challenge by shooting 2 BFG shots by them with neither shot directly hitting them.

Though Quad Damage + Siege Mode Gauss Cannon should very much do it as well.

Gah. I am currently dealing with this right now. I've weakened them to flashing, got the quad damage, then fired the BFG. Currently on my 4th attempt.

Kind of annoying.

*EDIT* - 8th Try. Trick appears to be to not use the BFG. Finally got it with the seige mode of the Gauss Cannon.

I want to confirm: Only worked with the Gauss Cannon for me (NOT the BFG... killed them 4 times with Quad + BFG "simultainously") - then first try with Quad + Gauss Cannon (Siege Mode) and it worked instantly...

Got it on my first try. Hit both with a charged gauss gun shot in siege mode, finished them with the BFG.

I've faced this issue today. Just restarted steam and the game completely and got challenge with 1st try (BFG/Quad).

I tried 2 two times with BFG (one of those tries i killed all three of them with the same shot) and got nothing. The next time i tried in easy with gauss cannon in siege mode plus quad damage and I got it.

Don't BFG them, it's risky. What worked for me the best is that while Quad Damage equipped, stun one with Stun Bomb, get both in your line of fire, then pull Gauss, Siege Mode and ->profit.
