I moved it to the SSD, hile the load time difference was not major for me, it did eliminate those dips I was having where I would for 1/2 of a second drop into the 40's from the high 60's to 80 range.
I was thinking about that earlier - since the texture sizes are so large, you probably do need the higher data bandwidth to properly stream them. Sounds like we're finally getting that part of gaming where SSDs become standard equipment for the average gamer, instead of just the enthusiasts.
Not that I mind, of course - SSDs are great tech and the prices are getting to be pretty reasonable as well. I just thought the mandatory adoption date would be a little farther out than it is now.
Um; I play the game on an HDD and I get 150+fps. I have a 1070.
No dips or anything, just silky smooth. Y'all should try vulcan if you have lesser cards.
