First person game. You never see the protagonist except in promotional material, he doesn't speak, and his personality is "angry". Wanting Doomguy to be a girl "just 'cause" is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid,but it wouldn't surprise me to see some people whine about it.

Multiplayer is different. Other people see you and you're not playing as an already established character.

Facts! Not only that but since the past 3 doom games hes been portrayed as a male, its the characters design. there isnt really a point to change a characters gender bc someone simply wants to play a girl (other than a game that gives the freedom to personalize your character). thats like saying "I want to play metroid as a male bc shes a female and I'm offended bc i cant do that"
