Death from above finishers

Having trouble with the challenge to prteform glory kills death from above on hell knights. I assume I'm meant to be above them and then to finish them off, though I can't seem to get it working. Any suggestions?

Got the double jump boots? That's what you need (although you can technically do it without, but its tricky)

Incapacitate them, then double jump and melee.

I've read that being right next to them and jumping, and at max leap height melee 'em.

Same here.... I suppose you knock 'em loopy below ya, then glory kill when orange.

Since they are so tall its a lot easier if you do it from a raised platform above them.

I just attacked them when next to a box and then once flashing immediately jumped onto the box and Jumped onto them.

The hell knights won't stay glowing for long, but there's a rune that makes it so that they stay in staggered state for longer. That's really helpful for setting up your angle of attack from a higher ground, especially if you don't have jump boots.

Are you saying no melee is required? To just head-stomp 'em when flashing... a la Mario?

I did that challenge without the jumping boots.

I just drained their HP down while circling a crate. Once the stun kicked in, I quickly jumped on the crate and jumped over the stunned Hellknight to perform the death from above kill with the melee button.

If you acquire the double jump and replay the levels you need to do them on then they're very easy to pull off.
