DOOM

DOOM

Statistiken ansehen:
Game not appearing in Geforce Experience or steam games.
Doom isn't on my games list in Nvidia Geforce Experience. It's also not appearing my games list or activity on steam - It is in the library (and playing fantasticly!) though where it shows some of unlocked achievments. If I click to see the rest of the achievments it takes me back to the games list where it ain't. It's not a massive issue but it's weird.

(made sure the library for geforce experience is set to steam apps where it was installed and it's working fine for the rest of them, just not Doom).
Anyway i was wondering if this might be related to Doom not appearing in my game profile on Steam.

Doom's just not on the GeForce Experience list of 'supported games'. (don't think any of iD's games are actually) You'll have to talk to nVidia about that.

As for achievements, it's a known issue. Apparently someone forgot to toggle a setting that allowed users to access that kind of stuff. (it's happened before, albeit rarely) Just wait for it to be fixed.

I have The Evil Within on the list, isn't that an ID game?

Nope. It uses iD's idtech 5, and it's published by Bethesda, but it's not an iD game.

They dont have a profile programmed for it yet.
Well, the Steam Profile issues have been fixed.
I had a web chat with Nvidia and this is what I got:

"Chandrashekar: Hi, my name is Chandrashekar. How may I help you?
John Murrey: Hi, I've recently bought an Asus PG348Q and I got a free Steam key with it, I'm running a 4770K with 32gb ddr3 ram and an EVGA GTX780TI Classified. I've installed and played Doom but GeForce Experience doesn't detect it
Chandrashekar: Hi John,
Chandrashekar: Please be assured I will do my best to assist you.
John Murrey: thanks
Chandrashekar: Thank you for all the details.
Chandrashekar: Is that Doom 2016 ?
John Murrey: yes :)
Chandrashekar: Please give me a minute.
John Murrey: no worries
Chandrashekar: Thank you.
Chandrashekar: Thank you for your time.

The file Geforce doom.JPG (182.02KB) was received.
Chandrashekar: Thank you.
Chandrashekar: To further troubleshoot. I would suggest you to install the Beta version of GeForce Experience.
Chandrashekar: And then add the game .exe file under preferences
Chandrashekar: Let me provide you the link for Beta version
Chandrashekar: http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/gfe-beta
John Murrey: OK can you tell me where the exe file will be
John Murrey: is it going to be here?
John Murrey: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DOOM
Chandrashekar: Yes, right.
John Murrey: OK, I've installed the beta and added that directory
Chandrashekar: Great,
John Murrey: I've clicked 'Check Now', but Doom still doesn't appear
Chandrashekar: You can play the game for 5 minutes and then later scan in GeForce Experience.
John Murrey: Doom works perfectly
John Murrey: OK, can I stay on the chat while I do that?
Chandrashekar: Yes please.
John Murrey: I've gone onto Doom
John Murrey: I've just re-scanned for supported games and it isn't showing
John Murrey: I've seen that quite a few people are having this issue from various forums
Chandrashekar: Since the issue is game specific. I would suggest you to try once after restarting the system.
Chandrashekar: If the issue still persists, Please send feedback from Geforce Experience.
John Murrey: OK where do get to that option?
Chandrashekar: You can find that option on the right bottom in Geforce Experience
John Murrey: OK, yep, I can see it
John Murrey: I'm right in thinking Doom is supported aren't I?
John Murrey: I'm looking at the feedback form now and Doom isn't on the list of games
Chandrashekar: Yes. That is right.
John Murrey: OK, so how can I report it if it's not in the list of games to report?
Chandrashekar: Yes, As I suggested you earlier you can send a feed back.
Chandrashekar: Hopefully it should be added very soon.
John Murrey: ok thanks "

I've got Rage, that's ID and it works fine on geforce experience

Hey John. That webchat.. *facepalm* hehe oh well. Hopefully they still add it but after a month if they were going to i'd have thought it would have been done. I expected to see it after Nvidia showcased it as an example of vulkan. Oh well I guess we just have to tweak it ourselves. The in game hardware monitor on nightmare setting is quite useful to seeing what's bottlenecking.
Doom now appears in the GeForce Experience list of games, go ahead and check. You may need to update Nvidia GeForce Experience first though.
