Dunno, it would be good to hear from season players, the differences and what is the most suitable difficulty for getting a better experience (first time players)
No difference in difficulty, just that Ultra-Nightmare is perma death.
I'd go with Ultra-Violent for the first time. You want it hard enough to be tense and make you work for it, it's not a bad choice; all comes down to the person though.
I'm taking your advise and going ultra violent for the first time
greetings
I mean what is the difference between Ultra-Violence to Nightmare? I am playing on Nightmare now 2nd play through and it's much harder, but I wanted a written list of all the differences.
I'd like that list myself; seems like enemies deal more damage and have more hp at least, but I'm not sure about the specifics. I'd love to know the numbers behind the game.
-Enemies have more health
-You do less damage
-Pickups are almost worthles
yes, that's the difficulty I'm playing on and it's pretty nice :D
Was getting 1-2 5 HP drops from imps at the most.
I also got hit by an imp blast twice at 100hp and it killed me that quickly.
UV really is the perfect mix between hard and fun.
You don't die easily enough that you can't feel badass, but stop for a second or back into a corner and you are boned.
