Chainsaw attack isn't letting me pick up goodies?

So the whole thing with the Chainsaw attacks is all the goodies it drops, yet I'm unable to pick any ammo up even when my gun shows i could use more ammo.

The Chainsaw drops a variety of different ammo types on kill, so the ammo you can't pick up is most likely ammo for a weapon you either don't have or that doesn't need any more ammo.

/\ probably this. It's all yellow and small which makes it hard to tell what exactly what it is for.

Ya I got that but I see assault ammo drop but doesn't pick it up, which I'm not full on ammo.
