Crash on startup FIX! Simple and worked for me
So I was having the issue some others are facing with doom crashing to desktop on launch. I literally just managed to fix mine or at least it seems fine now I get to the main menu and can start the campaign. My launch settings are +com_skipIntroVideo 1 not sure if that makes a difference but for me the thing that got it to launch was going to properties of the game on steam then turning off the steam cloud synchronization. Hope this helps the rest of you out.

damn sorry hoped that this would work for everyone.
Ive got an MSI Z97-G45, using GeForce GTX 780 Ti, and Intel i5-4690K CPU, 16gb ram
Your OS and it 32-64bit? Game Ready Driver installed?

Update your video card's driver. Wipe it completely and install the newest if you need to. Verify the games integrity cache as well if it still doesn't start up. These worked for me.

I did litterally everything i could think of. Fresh install of drivers redownloaded the whole game again and did a fresh install and the only thing that worked for me was disabling the steam cloud sync

Thanks! Had a bit different kind of crashing, frozen splash screen, but this seemed to have done the trick. I'm using the Vulkan API.
