Can't access praetor suit?

I seem to have gotten a copy of the game that doesn't allow you to upgrade your praetor suit, access the codex, or use the minimap. I was able to do one praetor upgrade, when I first got a token, and that's it. When a new codex entry is gained, it says 'Press [none] to access.' I can't find a key that binds the codex, or the minimap or the menus that allow you to upgrade your armor. What in the hell am I missing here?!

Key bindings maybe...usually is the tab key...head over to the preator suit section and upgrade...

Tab key just brings up objectives, and there is no option in the key bindings. Is it a set location you have to go to in order to upgrade the suit? Like the gun mods? I've read a few things online and they all say that it's just an option in the in game menu...I don't appear to have an in game menu, though.

Uh, tab bring up the objectives... That's all you need? Click on the little circles at the top of the objectives screen to switch menus.

Yes so there are 4 icons (with maybe ! marks) when you press tab...cliick on the third one from left...thats the preator suit upgrade thingy

O_o when I press tab I can't click on anything, I can only move the gun around. It just shows me objectives on the left and the battle tasks on the right. haha this is crazy it's like I'm playing a completely different game...I have like 6 or 7 icons on the top right with ! marks but I don't have a cursor or anything to click on anything with. Well, maybe I'll stumble upon a solution eventually while playing.

Wait your mouse isnt moving in the tab scree to click on those items? thats weird...restart the game and give it a try...

That '[NONE]' keybinding shows up there, and when I get new codex entries and tutorials. The only thing I can think of, is that the game keeps starting up in Developer Mode and maybe that's affecting something. I've tried the solutions online to disable saving to cloud in order to get the dev mode to stop activating but it didn't work...

There's your problem. I'm 99% sure of it. Dev mode.

I'll just paste the same thing I posted so many times before, this disables Dev mode, but you already PLAYED in Dev Mode so it has probably permanently "marked" that save as a cheat save. So you will probably have to do this without making a backup to disable Dev mode.

C:\Users\*Username*\Saved Games\id Software

Delete that folder with everything in it *after* making a backup of all the files in the "GAME-AUTOSAVE0" folder.

Disable Steam Cloud synchronization for this game.

Restart your PC.

Open the game, create a new profile so that the folder structure is re-created.

Paste the backup of your save back in the GAME-AUTOSAVE0 folder. If it doesn't exist yet, then make one.

Continue where you left off. However, collectibles will be reset, but story progress will not.

woot! It's working correctly now. THANKS a million guys! I'll be sure and spread the solution if I come across anybody else having this problem.
