Advanced Research Complex combat rating won't fill

I've played this twice now. I found all secrets, all collectibles, I went everywhere and every nook and cranny I possibly could, yet both times I end the level with a small portion of the last weapon upgrade for combat rating unfilled. I don't understand what demons I could possibly be missing. I never even had to think about the combat rating until this level, I just automatically got all 5. What gives? Is this a bug?

To add to this, I tried to farm the Arch-vile (I refuse to call a demon that does the exact same thing as the Arch-vile but has a new, very lame name and looks different anything other than just a strange looking Arch-vile) as she spawned in monsters but eventually she just stops and it made no difference anyway.

You might be missing a cacodemon that spawns after picking up the mega health secret or a few possessed in the rooms around BFG.

Yeah, or the Lost souls that appear when you pass certain triggers in that area you mentioned that has the caco. I actually did get him and I got all those lost souls, too. I also triple (!!) checked those rooms you're talking about.

Were you able to get all 5?

I was able to fill all 5. I actually missed the megahealth secret on my first playthrough, was the only thing missing and when I replayed the mission and took down the cacodemon, I got all 5 in the end.

Whaaaaat the ♥♥♥♥ man. I seriously searched every damn area more than once the second time. Does using the BFG affect it or something?

I don't think it does, I used the BFG once at the last fight in the lift. You might be missing some random enemy somewhere in a non-secret non-mandatory area.

I think it doesn't fill if you are not "in combat". I noticed I get no rating for mobs I snipe from safe place, they need to have aggro.

It doesn't even start filling at the start when killing all those possessed and the mancubus and stuff. Not until the gore nest does it start to even move. Is it just bugged for me?

I don't think it's bugged, it fills at certain intervals it seems. I've noticed I had about 2 circles filled white and after passing a checkpoint, they turned gold and gave me weapon points.

white means "unconfirmed". If you die you loose the white part. Not gold.

That entire room after you get the BFG just full of possessed? Yeah, killed them all and it didn't move one pixel. It does seem like it only moves during big combat sequences. Which makes me wonder why I can't get all five! I'm trying for a third time, will let you know..

In the circular part around the BFG room, I heard a lot of sounds. Couldn't tell if it was missed possessed or not. So I went in every room for the past 10 minutes over and over, made sure I missed nothing...think it's just ambience..

I got it! And I literally did nothing different from the other two times! Not even a little!
