Changing brightness setting?

It seems that once you have chosen a brightness setting, you cannot change it afterwards. Its not in the settings menu at all.

My game is way too dark (second lowest setting), as in I can barely see anything in game. This was what happend when I followed the typical 'you must barely be able to see the logo to the left' instruction. I cannot play the game at all now, and I cant believe that there is no setting to change brightness?

Escape - Settings - Video - Gamma slider.
