So about the BFG room.

The access the lazarus elevator objective, seems to be not completable for me. I can only run around the circular room, i cant go back where i came from, and i cant figure out at all what to do. Anyone mind tossing a hint this way?

Remember green lights are where you go. Thats a hint.

So I stand around the room with the lasers and do nothing until something happens? cuz ive done everything i could think of with and around those green lights... and that wasnt really a hint... that was obvious from the first level

shoot the red pods when the laser ring goes to the ceiling (the red glowing cells under the ring)
and stand on that green platform like eric said so you dont get resident eviled

Yeah, shooting the red pods took a while for me to figure out too. They have you shoot similar pods in an elevator earlier but those are the only 2 times they're used in the game.

Happens to all of us, mostly with this game it's realising that you passed by the lever for the easter countless times while you were searching for half an hour
