Problem with Full Screen and 4k Monitor: It ain't fullscreen
I have a Samsung U28E850 and I am using Windows 10. When the Windows resolution is set to 4k and I start Doom with a lower resolution, I see the rest of the desktop and the game is diplayed pixel by pixel and does not do any upscaling. All other games work correctly.
Even switching the desktop resolution to the in game resolution does not change anything!

I'm using Windows 10 so I promise, the option is there. You can't use the shortcut, you have to use the actual application in the steam folder on your drive. C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DOOM\DOOMx64 (or whatever your drive is named).

I fixed this on my Razer Blade by going into the settings after picking the profile to play with, switching the aspect ratio to 25:19 or whatever. Saving.. then going back into settings and switching aspect ratio back to 16:9. The game immediately snapped to fullscreen instead of using the top-left 1/4 of the screen. Exiting the game and starting it back up it was still fine.

You're welcome, I'm glad this worked for you. I was pulling my hair out but then stumbled upon this.

So I was running into the same issue on my 4k monitor, and the fixed work. However, I am now getting significant screen tearing, which I have not seen in any other game I've played. Would this have contributed to this? I have the setting to reduce screen tear maxed.
