I had a fire extinguisher half in the floor on the bridge on Argent Tower. As I walked over it, it moved lol. Strange happenings!
GTX 780 Ti
Windows 7 64 bit
Intel I7-4700K
16 gb ram
I did that and I received a response from Bethesda:
Me too. Except my system exceeds the minimum and recommended system requirements...
This is what they've recomended that I do:
Update Graphics Card Drivers
Remove Additional Launch Options
Verifty Integrity of Game Cache on Steam
Set Primary GPU
Get Latest Version of DirectX
Check Firewall or Anti-virus
Change In-Game Settings
The only thing that I can do from this list that I haven't done is remove addtional launch options and update direct x. gg Bethesda.
Maybe we should all change our reviews to negative on Steam and that should get their attention. What do you guys say?
I just went to the Bethesda forums and found a response from what is possibly a Bethesda employee or forum moderator:
If you get crashes without any messages, you can try the following.
Go to "Control Panel" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Event Viewer".
On the left side you will see "Windows Logs" , look in "Application" and "System" logs, see if you can find "DOOMx64.exe".
If it's there, look for the "Faulting Module Name" and report it back here. mostly this faulting module name shows what might be the problem.
So I did just that.
Aaaannd when I did search I found this:

So there is some sort of leak. I don't know if its a memory leak or code leak or whatever but there is something definitely wrong.
Going by the date that is the very first time I launched the game. So it seems the issue has been there right from the start.
The next entry that is logged is from the beta:

yeah mine is going negative too, until they get it resolved. I don't have anything as far as thrid party stuff installed at all. No OBS or streaming software, no capture cards or devices etc.. Just Windows 10 and games. Computer is well above recommended with the lastest gpu drivers.
Except when you place a negative review, it tells them not to work on the game.
I have discovered that most game companies these days, will not continue to support a game.. if people are so negative about it.
Which means they don't find it worth the trouble, just like the gamers don't.
You have to describe in detail, the issues, to let them know about a patch for some bugs, and send them pictures "which you can't if it boots you without an error messages/debug messages".
I'm sure you mentioned that the game needs a patch, in detail, so I would expect that they have listened, if a majority of people are letting them know about the crash issues.
Sounds like one of the many bugs fixed in lots of old games.
I'm sure that will be changed in time.
