Mission: Stop the Meltdown- Blocked Secret Area?

So there is a massive area that I cannot figure out how to get to. The entrance appears to be a dead end wall below the yellow door area and where the argent cell is found. The area behind it seems huge on my map, but impossible to access as far as I can tell.

Anyone get in there?

Thats the same area I started having performace issues and moving in slow motion.. (See my post..) if I figure out secret area I will repost..

Trying to find this too. Found it after an hour, I'm no good at finding these on my own.

In the nearby room with a Data Log you'll find the lever in the corner near some machinery where the Data Log was.

Ahh, the Foundry classic level secret. The reason why it's not been mentioned more is that one of the DOOM dev videos was exactly how to get in there (where the lever is) and where the room opens up at.

There is a lever on the bridge before you get to that section,get on the bridge and look over the side.

Yeah the fist dude clearly had no idea what he was talking about.

But how the ♥♥♥♥ in all mothers asses are you supposed to guess not only there is a lever on the bridge, but also where it led to? Yeah I did look for the walkway to the hidden area but obviously only saw a dead end. But the area was so huge on the map, not at all like the first rooms in the first two levels. So how are you suppose to guess that whole area is the hidden "room" or "classic" room?

Bah, any ways. Thanks a lot! I've been running around like a headless chicken for like an hour to find a way in there.
