Review embargo lifted?

When are the reviews out? I like the collector's edtion with the statue, but I am holding off until reviews after the fug-ugly, generic, halo wannabe, multiplayer.
Fingers crossed for a great singleplayer campaign. That 12" revenant statue with the LEDs looks pretty awesome though.

I read that there were no review copies sent out, so you won't get a review until after the game is out because no one will have it till then.

Yeah it is not a good sign when there are no review copies sent out early. Doesn't always mean the game is bad but it does put up a warning flag for me. I could be wrong though my source is a forum post on doomworld. However I haven't seen anyone else mention a embargo date for reviews.

The only other people you could ask about the game are the ones who watched this leak stream, which streamed the entire game

I'm really not sure why the revenant was made. It is not as iconic as they claim. The iconic demons were the Imp, Cyberdemon and Baron of hell and the Arch vile...those four were the best demons and would be much preferred.

I like the pink demon and it is iconic sure but I left it out because I would like the bipedal demons better as a model theoretically but sure it should be in the list. It was in my mind as I thought about it.

They claim it's because they want the MP and SnapMap reviewed along side the SP and the servers for SnapMap and MP won't be up until release.

I think they held back review copies for Wolferstein aswell.

To be fair: Does anyone really care about Doom's regular multiplayer? What has me pumped is Doom Snapmap. It's like the love child of SC1 + Time Splitters 2's editors.

That's their excuse for delaying the reviews? It's laughable.

Doom should be singleplayer only just like Wolfenstein, although maybe I would like to see a seperate Enemy Territory remake. It's Quake that should be a multiplayer only game.

The 68% negative reaction to the Doom MP cared about the MP.
