WTF? You can't finish game without killing all demons

Yeah that's true now. To complete level you must kill all demons that has spawned near you and you cannot open last doom when some demons are alive. So you must kill all. ♥♥♥ THIS GAJME!!!!!!

"speedrun" speedrunners are cheaters anyway. they also dont play games properly. they also serve no purpose. better start dryhumping walls till you find a exploit to use.

That wouldn't ruin speed runs; you'd just have speed runs of killing all the demons. A speed run is doing what you need to do to beat the game, as fast as possible.

I respect multiple ways to enjoy a game, but I think it's weird taking pride in speedruns... it's akin to bragging about how fast they can "do it" with their significant other, which is hardly an activity that one thinks of as getting better the quicker it's over. :)

Because someone doesn't play a game like you do, they aren't playing it properly? Because somone chooses to play a game differently because they find it fun, they aren't playing it properly?

Also, this sucks. It was a challenge to kill all the demons in the old games.

I used sex as a metaphor because it's better longer... isn't it? A foot race is "supposed" to be fast... Bolt "must" run fast... it's the whole point.

Me? I like a game like Doom to be a savored experience, like fine foods or wine. I also prefer to walk when ever I can and try to just get into a groove of enjoying the environment as much as I'm enjoying the game-play. I gotta take it slow with mah baby Doom... like with a good partner. And slow doesn't mean we won't get a little rough every now and then. ;)

Well, Painkiller game (quite faithful to arena fps, though not done by id software) also featured "kill all demons" as functionality in singleplayer, which did it quite well, kill everything that moves and continue.

It was like this in doom 3 too, and u probably only have to kill the enemies on the main way while there are many other enemies in optional areas wich dont have to be killed to progress, so u are not forced to kill 100% of the enemies, its still optional and wont be that easy on higher difficulties, like it was in Doom 1+2. They probably did that a long with the level design, because in the old doom the level design forced u to kill enemies also if u wouldnt have to in order to progress, so it was rather hard to finish the game without killing, in this new Doom it would probably pretty easy to progress by skipping mobs, because u are fast, u can stun lock enemies and u can jump. So they decided to lock the door till u killed the main enemies, not necessary in a lvl designed by romero, but still, it doesnt make the game worse.

Its obvious you have to kill all the demons. Thats the whole point. I think you ar buying the wrong game if thats what you want. This game is for shooting demons.

Even if you have to kill them all, it doesn't mean you can't still speedrun the game.
