How to open red doors on level 2?

Hello. I'm about to finish level 2 (have collected everything) but there are 2 doors, maybe even more, that I cannot open. Where do I get the red key card? Or is there a switch somewhere?

I've looked everywhere on google, on youtube, even on Steam, but nobody talks about a red key card or red doors.

When you have the yellow card, return to the room with the security station (the one just before the room with the Gore Nest). With the yellow card you can access the security station and unlock the closed doors.

Necroing this for help. Are the red doors on level 2 bugged? At first i thought I was just missing something, then I looked it up and found this, and this method does not work.

I've completed every part of this level, killed everything. I have the yellow security card. I'm in the security room. I've tried interacting with literally every item in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ room, gone over every inch. The security computer says that the lockdown has been overridden via access card.

The red door WILL. NOT. OPEN.

I feel like this door is the hardest enemy I've encountered.

Edit: Never mind, not bugged, it's just that the answer in this thread is dead wrong. The security station has nothing to to do with opening the red door. You have to find a back way in and open it from the inside.

Dunno, hard to remember ♥♥♥♥ from 7 years ago, especially since I smoked a lot of ganja those days.

But it appears the answer did work for me. Maybe they changed the level in the meantime?

This is also incorrect. Disregard the quoted post. There is no key to the red door on Level 2. You need to find a back way in.

Just a small addition. The message on the 'red' door says unlock in security station.
But there are TWO around. So don't think when you find one (near the airlock) that its not working.

When you find the yellow key, there will be a locked door to your right. Go on ahead, then find the security terminal near the airlock and interact with it. It'll unlock a bunch of stuff on the level, including a nearby hatch and the aforementioned door near the upgrade bot.

Try as I might, there is no interaction with it anymore. Nightmare difficulty. What am I doing wrong? I presume you mean the terminal to the right of the doorway when facing the airlock (which is to the left of it. I am in the small room beside the airlock.

Never mind that. The security station is not the one next to the airlock, it is the one you find by heading up the cargo shafts. Next to the room where you need to enter the yellow key card, either go to the right and up the cargo path or take the two crates just behind you to get up on top. Crawl through the shaft to get to the actual security station. In there there is a computer; you can now enter your security details there to unlock the remaining items.

This is the correct answer. You don't really need any other key to go into the locked area. If you have not explored all the map then look closely at the map for a thin higher shaft that ends over the locked area, find your way to the beginning of the shaft and jump down.
