So frustrated with this not working.
Right click and select properties, from here select compatability and try other versions of windows, also tick "run as administrator".
I guess you could check the directorys and double-check that the software in the "redist" folder are installed, again running the .exe as admin.
Other than that, i'm afraid i can't be of assistance :/
- Install the latest drivers for everything
- Disable the steam overlay
- Windows updates are all done
- Reinstalled the Visual C++ redist SP1 from microsoft
- Reinstall DirectX
- Installed the redist in the game folder and in the redist folder
- Verifying the integrity of the cache of the game in your steam library game settings
- Shut down all the non essential program running in the background
- Run Steam / game in administrator mode
- Scan you PC for malwares / virus that could screw everythings up
- Unplug any USB stuff connected you don't need. Try the headset too.
- Set your Windows sound setting to 16 bits 48000hz
Don't forget to reboot if you install anything.
Let me know if it doesnt work. Will keep adding stuff. This is pretty much most of the fixes i saw on this forum for Doom.
EDIT : If you just installed Doom i suggest you reboot your PC. Some people had problems launching it because they didnt after installation.
Totally seconding this, sometimes windows has issues opening the necessary dll's after installing something like Visual basic runtimes and direct X drivers, a reboot can sometimes just rejump the funk and stuff ticking, solid advice bud
Thx :) You have to try everything. One of my friend couldnt start the game and had a black screen just because he had a program called Sonic Studio 2 running. The moment he removed it the game launched fine.
Try installing all prerquisites and try again.....if not i have a theory that virtualization may need to either be disabled or enabled, based on the nature on the denuvo DRM framework, which requires virtualization to execute it's task i read. that would be disabled in bios.
for AMD it's virualization....intel is HYPER-V or something, refer to you're mobo manual before proceeding dude, just in case.
Nice. happy you fixed it ! :D
This is actually how you fix it.
