My mom won't let me play this because her religious beliefs conflict with letting this kind of game into her house. She believes it's an "invitation for evil spirits".

You know, like the demonic sigils and the pentagrams and stuff.

Edit: This is my dad's account and he plays in private as long as he hides it from her.

Stop marking everything off as a troll, this is a serious problem. Depictions of demons is a realization of their life, and by killing them in game, sometimes the mind is strong enough to give these depictions souls. Every demon you kill has a potential of reaching the real world. Then they go out into the world and cause suffering, like people coming onto steam forums. I'm a warlock and I know these things.

Let's not forget that in the game you are fighting evil. If you are old enough (18 or older) to play the game just lock the door while you play it and stand your own ground on the matter. The best thing is to simply not talk to her about it.

Assuming OP isn't trolling us, this is a real situation they could be dealing with in their house.
They already seem to have at least some initial level of questioning towards the irrational fears of the immaginary/supernatural being presented by their mother.

OP, sorry to say but this game can't really be modded and there's no in-game settings to hide any of the art assets.
You can try playing this game covertly without your mother's knowledge but there's always a chance that she could show up at the wrong time and see over your shoulder.

My honest recommendation, just keep your head down for now and prepare to really start living life on your own terms once you are no longer living with your mother.
Whether that's going off to college or getting your own place, you probably won't get much in the way of actual freedom and much in the way of restrictive control as long as you're living with parents who are dead-set on their religion.
