That's correct, but it also uses the texture composition from the original DOOM's E4M9 map. So technically, Super Turbo Turkey Puncher was a reference in DOOM 3 to DOOM (1993).
DOOM (2016) is referencing both in a philosophical fashion, as if you notice the location of the actual arcade machices themselves, they are discarded and broken down; as if it is a metaphor for the departure of DOOM 3 from the franchise.
On the other hand, perhaps I am thinking just a little too deep...
anyone>??
edit: you can simply hold down the punch button and it continually punches, turkey after turkey. no need to keyboard spam
i did that once years ago during some of my very first playthroughs for it. pretty neat for an easter egg
There is no "trigger" score. It is just designed for infinite use. At least that anyone has discovered. It could be there is a specific variable in there, but best of luck finding it!
actually, there is!!! as i mentioned in my post above, when I played the "Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3" mini-game, you have to score around 24000-points to trigger the downloadable message to be sent to your PDA.
in the "Resurrection of Evil" expansion game, there's a similar mini-game in one of the Phobos Labs levels called "Martian Buddy Blaster". and once you save all of the martians, you get a special message sent to your PDA.
I was talking about DOOM (2016). If you re-read his post in which I quoted, he was clearly speaking about DOOM (2016) in comparrison to Doom 3.
Seen below:
Still good info - thanks again all. I may try to hit the 24000 mark just to see....lol
