I don't have any advice other than you don't have to use anything specific. I literally just went through my weapons one by one to find the ones that did the most damage. I also used the BFG a few times but can't remember if that stunned her or not. The only tactic I can think of is the beam part where you need to jump or crouch to avoid being hit.
I do remember getting stuck in several other places and at a couple points I was (like you) about to give up, yelling at the screen and rage quitting a single player game lol.
I was only on ultra violence and have no interest in doing higher level difficulties. I am just trying to get 100% completion or near it.
Step 2: occasional BFG shot to stun her, then run and pick up the two BFG rounds in the room as needed.
Step 3: Shoot the bullets... all of them
Step 4: Pick up ammo and health that drop from her.
Did i mention the occasional BFG shot..
Step 5: Bask in your bloody Victory
BFG, Rockets, Gauss Cannon, Turret.
Get up onto a pillar when it electrifies the ground (it kind of looks like its taking a crap when this is going on), keep a good distance and circle-strafe endlessly.
I'm no hero...I got it the third try. :)
I also aim for the head but it honestly seems that I do the same amount of damage no matter where I hit her if she does not dodge out of the way at the last second.
I can get the boss down to no less than about 20% damage, and she goes crazy with faster attacks around that point.
This kind of reminds me of another game I played and enjoyed up till the end. That was Ryse Son of Rome. I thought it was an ok game but enjoyed the story, up until the end. To beat the game you had to basically follow a script of what to do at what time. I very much dislike games like that and because of it I never returned to that game.
I was under the impression that one only got on the pillars when the ground is electrified; otherwise it makes you a sittng duck (means you aren't moving) and get off ASAP when it is done the electirc ground thing otherwise it will whack you with a leg/claw.
Dunno what else to say. Like I said, I am at best an average gamer and it took me 3 tries. The electrified ground is a big deal though; getting on the pillars at that point is critical (and it is a sitting duck when it is doing that).
There's no script here....just don't stop firing and moving and bear in mind the few tactics.
In fact I do not think I have unlocked any of the weapon mastery skills yet. They seemed to have eluded me.
I usually stay off the pillars until she starts electrifying the ground and then when she electrifies the pillars and the ground is usually when it is game over for me as there seem to be no more safe spot to jump to anymore.
I think you have more than enough strategy advice already in this thread; cheat if you like (if you can), but there is no victory in that. Keep trying, but take a break from it. If you get frustrated, it won't go well.
I'm not sure if you can, but perhaps you can lower the difficulty without starting over from the beginning of the game.
I don't think she does it everytime, but when you see her start energizing them, get off pretty quickly, I've been impaled enough to learn that lesson & it's an insta-kill for doom guy. Now, to start another nightmare playthrough ? Hmmm.
HooksGURU: Indeed! Tha't a great combo. :)
