DOOM
Mousewheel doesn't work.
Unfortunately my mouse wheel doesn't work in DOOM at all. It's a "Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000"
It doesn't scroll in the codex, even swapping back and forth between entries doesn't get it working.
It doesn't allow me to scroll through weapons in game either. I completed the game using the number keys instead.
It didn't bother me but I want to get as many achievements as I can and the SnapMap tutorial requires that I zoom in on the map using the mouse wheel to continue to the next stage but I can't.

The mouse wheel works perfectly fine in ALL windows applications, including Steam so there is no fault with the mouse.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mouse but that hasn't helped either.

Does anybody have any ideas?
Is there an alternative way to zoom in/out in the SnapMap tutorial?

I'm having the same problem and I have no idea either. The mouse wheel worked perfectly fine last night, and now, nope. The click doesn't work, either. I can't rebind Mouse 3, and I can't use it to do whatever it's bound to. It doesn't work with a second mouse plugged in. It doesn't work when Steam-streamed to another computer. It just. Doesn't. Work. And it's ONLY this game. No other part of the computer. And I've tried doing all kinds of things to the cfg file in User/Saved Games, but the game seems to completely ignore that file.

I tried rebooting, and then Doom didn't recognize my mouse at all. Then I rebooted again, and I'm back to no mouse wheel.

I didn't even know clicking the wheel was supposed to do something. I'm sure it's a bug in the game but not many people are reporting they problem so I don't hold out much hope for a fix any time soon.... But a workaround for the zoom in snapmap would be good.

Same symptoms here, and guess what, also with a Microsoft wireless mouse. Wheelclick works (grenades), but not scrolling. It's the only game where I have this problem. Any luck in hacking config files? This needs to be fixed!

I just realized that the scoll actually works! It just needs to spin it REALLY fast in order to trigger the action. OP wanna try that?
It's like it needs a hundred scrolls to get one. Any idea on how to configure this? (scroll sensitivity?). I'll install intellipoint and report back

I had this problem happen too, my mouse scroll stopped working to change weapons. I tried everything, reconfiguring mouse settings, unplugging and re-plugging my mouse back in, trying the TAB trick. Nothing seemed to work. I figured out a solution to this annoying glitch. Make sure the game is closed before you plug your mouse in, plug your mouse in and then boot up the game, this should make the mouse scroll work properly. Seems like the game doesn't register some mouses correctly if you start the game up without a mouse plugged in. Strange glitch it would seem that has never been patched.
