Yes it supports it. He could literally have 60 fps with vulkan. Not at ultra of course ;p
awesome so again at what resolution? My monitors are 1440p but obviously I dont expect to play at that resolution with this game.
If I'm not wrong DOOM separate rendering and screen resolution (aka you can have max screen resolution while having very low rendering) but if the diference is too big between them it is possible the game to look pixelated (rendering resolution is at what resolution your gpu will render the game so as long as you have ok fps you can theoriticaly set it to 1440p in screen resolution without performance issue)
Intel integrated graphics will not run Doom.
HD 7xxx series with 2GB would stutter, require low details and look terrible. Nothing would improve it. Other games would look better and play better.
RX 480 is nice and smooth on full details. No problems.
R9 390 is amazing with Nightmare detail settings, Vulkan stability and insane framerates. GLORIOUS! UNSTOPPABLE! BLOODBATH!
If you're serious about playing Doom; you might need to consider an upgrade for the best experience.
Im playing at medium and have x8 AA or what ever that other on is. I have not noticed any sturrering or frame rate drops.
Before we get the Vulkan update i was playing with a 7870 at medium detail between 40 and 70 fps depending on the area. With vulkan you can play at high details with a 7870 or stay medium and have a constant 60 fps.
It's enough to play this game.
