Pinky demons in classic maps
When you're in a classic map, they should really be killable from the front. Just got destroyed on Command Control UV because I couldnt dodge them in the maze, and had no way of getting behind them and not enough ammo either.

I really hate pinky demons in this game.

Yeah, them and the commandos definitely make the classic maps a lot harder than they were originally... But I think that's half the fun of it.

Yea pinkys in this game are the strongest demon in the game and it's pretty stupid.

They are for me. Pinkies have taken more armor and health away from me than most other enemies combined. There's always that one enemy in every game that is the bane of my existance, and Pinkies are it in this game.

They are trouble for sure.. but not the strongest enemy.. not by a long shot. I love the change though.. gives him personality and makes the game more engaging. I like to be forced to use different strategies for different enemies.

They can be killed from the front.. it just takes more shots. 2 shots of Super Shotgun in the face and they are gone.

If you manage to get them behind, you shotgun shot is enough to stun them for a glory kill.

Me too.

I've finished Nightmare and am halfway through UN and I dread pinky's the most - especially in the Lazarus corridors or when swamped with other enemies. They have the quickest run speed, require fairly specific method to kill (this is not a game where you want to be trying to position yourself like that), are a bit glitchy when it comes to dodging them in tight spaces, and pretty much insta-death if they hit you with a charge.

Probably why theres so few of them in the whole game.

oh yeah they really are bad in this game. i tried playing halls of the damned and it was impossible with the pinky demons.

News to me, too. In ultra-violence or higher they certainly take a LOT more super-shotgun blasts to the face than 2. In fact, they take more than 2 fully charged gauss precision shots to the face before they die, and that does way more damage than the super-shotgun. I think two seige mode gauss shots to the face kills them, though.

The best way to deal with them is to stun them with the stun grenade mod from the plasma and hit them from behind; or use the hologram to distract them and hit them from behind; or use the remote detonation mod for the rocket launcher to detonate rockets behind them.

They take two super-shotgun blasts to THE BACK to kill, and that's where they have no armor, so IDK where you're getting "two shotguns to the face kills them."

I think specters can only take two to the face, but as far as I can tell, they don't have the armor, just invisibility.

I was playing on Hurt me Plenty... but I may be off about the number of shots. But I did kill most of them from the front. I stoped caring to evade at the end when I had a bunch of ammo and fully upgraded weapons. They do die from the front.

All of the demons are far more dangerous in the new DOOM. The classic maps make it even more obvious.
Pinkies are the best for this. :D

The pain issue, in the classic maps, is that pinkies have a different role in Doom 4. In 1 and 2, pinkies existed as bullet sponges and blockers. Basically, you'd put 'em in a hallway to slow the player down. Take of a bit of their ammo, halt their progress for a little bit.

The new pinkies are chargers. That comes with the stereotpyical huge front armor. So putting them in a hall is no longer just a small bullet sponge and time sink, now the pinky has a straight shot to unleash their powerful charge, and there's ltitle that can be done to avoid it. Particularly with the limits weapons available in the classic mode.

I really dislike the commandos in the classic maps as well. A room that used ot be full of weak soliders with basic pistols is now filled with guys using plasma rifles. And they don't drop any ammo to help keep you resupplied.

The balance is just different in Doom 4. And the classic maps suffer for that.

this is why I always use that Triple-Barrelled upgrade for the Minigun, as using that with the "Rich Get Richer" Rune equipped shreds Pinky Demons from the front ridiculously fast
