Strange grid lines...
980Ti using 365.19 drivers. I'm seeing strange grid lines on some parts of maps. Here's a picture of the "Beneath" map. This is at the back of the map in the red caves. I have all settings maxed out including nightmare. Anyone else have this issue?

Your GPU is Overheating buy some Water Cooling.

^yes, don't troubleshoot anything else, and use a PITA, expensive fix.... Jesus, Pinhead.

Check your GPU temps before doin anything drastic. Clean it up or improve airflow if it goes over 80c. It could also be your display, a driver problem, try another monitor cable.

Why take a zoomed-in photo? If it doesn't show in screenshots, it's a display problem.

My temps are fine and my system is flawless. Has nothing to do with heat.

Be sure you don't have anything forced in your control panel like AA.Sometimes it can do that.

If nothing works try resetting your card in your slot.

This is normally caused by AA being forced in the control panel.

A water cooled CPU dont means the GPU wont overheat. Check your temps out with some Ingame OSD like PlayClaw or MSI Afterburner, HWiNFO + RTTS (RivaTuner).

Pinhead, do you think I'm some amateur that just started gaming yesterday? My temps are just fine. The PC you see pictured was built by me, along with countless other builds I've done over the years. It's NOT a temperature issue. GPU's don't require water cooling to work properly unless you're overclocking or don't have adequate case ventilation. You run along now kid. Go outside and play for a while and let us grown ups figure out this issue.

Looks like a resolution or AA issue. These kind of grid lines appear in games where the resolution is upscaled/downscaled instead of fully rendered. I dont think DOOM does this, so it could be a driver setting conflicting with a game setting. Double check that the resolution fine tuning option in doom is set at 100%.

Uninstalling graphics drivers (Guru3D DDU software) and installing the latest, then disabling all graphics option in the videocard driver (AMD) solved the issue for me. Might do the trick for Nvidia as well.

I don’t think the problem is with the drivers because both Nvidia and AMD user are reporting the same issues, for me this grid appears in this spots :walls, floor and monsters.

Right now I’m waiting for the Vulkan update to see if the problem is fixed.

You can check my original post regarding this issue its connected with the AA options and shadows.

Don't be aggressive if people try to help you Mr. VAC Banned (Yes I checked your Profile!) because nobody here knows if your are an experienced person or not and or builded the System by your self. 90% of the people here in the Community Forum had temperature problems so also keep cool like your System! Another solution where is to stop Cheating / Injecting stuff into the game. :steammocking: :steamsalty: :steamsalty: :steamsalty:

Hey pinhead VAC bans can be wrong, I know. VAC will even tell you you can download a cheat and not know it through map downloads, but they don't give a ♥♥♥♥,and they won't tell you what it is so you can remove it. They just make a claim that you somehow cheated, provide ZERO proof and ban you. If you don't think they make mistakes you're retarded.

I got banned years ago and never cheated hell I lost every game I played yet they claimed I was cheating. lol VAC suxs ass, can and will false ban you. I haven't bought a VAC protected game since, their loss not mine.

I double-checked the resolution scaling and it's set to 100%. All settings checked for correctness. It's definitely a problem with the game's graphics.
