compute shaders
What is it? Turning it off how much fps give me on 55 fps?

I'm not sure exactly which features use compute shaders in Doom. But typical uses include particles, dynamics and similar. It's basically using your GPU to compute these effects that are typically handled on the CPU.

I'm not sure if disabling compute shaders disables any effects or if it merely pushes them to your CPU.

for me, disabling compute shaders did COST me about 10 FPS... so i turned it back ON. (GTX980)

Interesting, I was thinking that was better to push CPU than GPU considering I have CPU not at max load and GPU at max
