Usually when lots of games stop working, it's not the games that are the problem.
It's pretty obvious that Doom was updated and that the patch requires you having something on your PC like the new Windows Updates to work and you didnt install it.
Please format your PC.
EDIT : Why there is no info on your GPU in the details you gave us ? Do you even have one ? :p
They released a patch. The patch needs you to have something you clearly don't have on your PC and it doesnt work anymore. Not the game. It's your PC.
You have a laptop do you ?
You shouldn't assume, my system is flawless, updated and bug free.....not my system tweedle
It's your system. I know it. We know it. Do something about it instead of just blaming the game.

The guy had the same error as you. ExpCode: 0xE06D7363 (Undefined Exception)
He solved it by "Yeah the virtual memory was not set to recommended size so I set it and I had the visual effects already set to best performance."
When you gogle that error it will give you a couple solutions and one of them is the virtual memory and the other is related to virus / malwares.
So at least try to fix your stuff before blaming the game.

Next thread.
By the way Sanual, I'm 62, built my 1st gaming system in 1992 running dos, built another one with 3.1, then in 95 built an ultra hotrod custom just for win 95, I have 5 systems right now for doing special tasks and one gaming system that runs everything I have on Ultra settings.....I'm no noob .....but thanks for the effort
I appreciate the help, I wasn't even able to access the base settings, the game never started up, I can visually see what each thread of the CPU is doing and it was just grinding away for at least 4 minutes before it just crashed and threw up a crash report, hopefully reinstalling from scratch will load the GL and then I can try the Vulcan drivers again.....if this works
Let me know if it works after reinstall. Well work this out together ;)
Quick question tho. The system you are trying to run Doom right now. What kind of GPU does it have and on what Windows ?.
2.4GHZ, 16GB RAM, NO GPU information. This is a laptop or an old dual core desktop right ?
The system is a gaming laptop so I can travel with it, games scream on it like FO4 with a 205 mods installed running on Ultra settings, the Doom settings were maxed out too and Doom ran at full framerates with any lag at all with the Vulcan drivers.
